To mark our 25th anniversary, Wintringham celebrated at the Queen's Hall in Victoria's Parliament. We were honoured to have Tanya Plibersek, Deputy Leader of the Federal Opposition, speak at the event: she is a great friend to everyone who, like Wintringham, addresses homelessness in Australia.
It was a stellar evening where Anthony Dymke, a Wintringham staffer and talented member of local band Pony Face, performed a brilliant song he'd composed to commemorate the event. Elaine Farrelly, who wrote a history of Wintringham, also spoke warmly about us and retold some of the great stories she'd uncovered.
The achievements of our founder and CEO, Bryan Lipmann AM, were rightly celebrated during the evening, but he insisted that the company was successful because all staff share an unwavering mission to provide a home until stumps for older disadvantaged Australians.
Congratulations Wintringham. We've done well!
