Jimmy Kennedy
Independent living units in the heart of Shepparton.
Our Jimmy Kennedy social housing is centrally located at 61 Wyndham Street, Shepparton. These units have been purpose-built to Wintringham's international award-winning standards. The site includes 28 independent units to accommodate people aged 50 and over who have experienced or are vulnerable to homelessness in the Hume Region.
Residents have access to on-site housing support to help residents to maximise their health, and well-being and maintain their tenancies. Assistance is also offered to help residents connect with external supports and engage with the community if they choose, as well as to source furniture and/or home utensils and appliances if required.
The site has 25 units upstairs and three units downstairs. All units have one bedroom, with a modified bathroom built to disability standards, built-in wardrobes, and an external powerpoint for easy mobility scooter charging. Each unit comes unfurnished allowing each resident to decorate to their taste.
The building has a lift to provide easy access for the residents living upstairs and overlooks our private garden to enjoy the outdoors and nature. It is conveniently located in the Shepparton CBD, close to shops, healthcare and the hospital.
