Earlier this year we celebrated three of our most determined and successful, long-serving female employees for International Women’s Day 2024. Here they share with us a little about their time at Wintringham.

2024 - Executive - Kate Rice

Kate's story

Kate Rice, General Manager - Home Support

"This year marks my 22nd year working for Wintringham, and throughout my time I have worked in Housing and Outreach to Home Care, Residential Care, Quality, SRS Projects and now I oversee the Home Support portfolio," says Kate.

"My first job was the Housing and Outreach Manager which I did full time and with a new baby. A career highlight was being supported by Bryan and Dot Lipmann AM to travel overseas to explore homelessness services across the globe for aged homeless clients. My work life has been varied and personally fulfilling, while managing full-time work and my wonderful boys. Thank you Wintringham for a wonderful career.”

Kathryne's story

Kathryne Howe, Regional Manager Community Services - Northern and Eastern

“Over many years working here, I have been given the experience to step into new roles across Wintringham. I have enjoyed developing new skills and knowledge, while working with my mentors and the management team who have always supported my ambitions," says Kathryne.

Than's story

Than Rosier, Quality Manager

“I have completed a Masters, had two kids, taken extended maternity leave and a year-long sabbatical to see the world, all whilst working at Wintringham. The amazing support and flexibility of life, work and study balance has allowed me to pivot as my own needs have changed both professionally and personally, which is so important to job satisfaction," says Than.

“I have also been fortunate enough to have had strong female leaders and mentors along the way, who lead with great confidence and compassion, and have always encouraged my growth. I love that I am still learning every day, I think it's so crucial to my longevity and career progression at Wintringham.”

Thank you all for sharing about your Wintringham journeys with us.
