When Sandra arrived at Lionsville, more than 20 years ago, she was under the protection and tutelage of Jack Breet, another of the Gordon House 'originals'.

"I found her," Jack would say, "and decided to take care of her."  The two friends were inseparable.

In the end, it was Sandra who took Jack under her wing, nursing him through his slow decline.

Theirs was a rare partnership.

These days there's nothing Sandra likes better than a shopping trip with her Lionsville mates.

She is loved and renowned for her kindness and warmth. Wintringham has named one of the large apartment blocks at our Delahey independent housing 'Maybury' in her honour.
